Care-At-Home Services employ a strict Recruitment Policy, this policy clearly sets out the procedure for the recruitment of all Care-At-Home Services Home Care Support Workers to ensure the right callibre of Carer is selected.
Care-At-Home Services seek two verbal and written references from all candidates, we also require a valid Garda Vetting certificate prior to the commencing of employment with us.
A careful analysis of all candidates qualifications and experience is completed, we require Fetac Level 5 training as a minimum requirement to employment in this role. Validation and confirmation from Fetac is sought to ensure the selection standard is met.
Care-At-Home Services Manage all employment requirements. All our care personnel are directly employed by Care-At-Home Services Ltd, therefore taking away worries dealing with employee PRSI, Tax, Levy and holiday entitlements.
When the Home Care Support Workers has completed thierinduction programme they are then required to participate in a period of mentoring with regular appraisal sessions to ensure competency is achieved, best practice and high standards of care are implemented.
We at Care -At-Home are committed to the implementation of strict Cross infection policies, all carers are trained in correct hand hygiene practice, and receive supervision and monitoring at regular interval. Protective equipment such as disposable aprons, gloves and alcohol gel are available to all homecarers.
Supervision sessions and Spot checks are carried out with Home Care Support Workers at regular intervals.
Care-At-Home have a comprehensive employment selection policy, all potential Home Care Support Workers are formally interviewed, and both verbal and written references are sought and more importantly..followed up.
All Home Care Support Workers are required to completed a comprehensive induction programme prior to starting home care visits. An Individual training programme is devised and implemented to ensure all care personnel meet the required standards.
All Home Care Support Workers are required to participate in our on-going training programme and are subject to regular appraisal and spot checks by the Management team.
